Contrary to traditional 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner, which is a shampoo with a little bit of conditioning ingredients inside, this incredibly delicate cleansing conditioner for curly hair is a conditioner with a little bit of cleansing ingredients inside. This unique cleansing conditioning complex helps remove dirt and build-up while being extremely gentle on the scalp, keeping the hair soft, moisturised and detangled without stripping away its natural oils.

How to use

Step 1

Wet your hair thoroughly, then dispense a generous blob of product working it into your palms before applying it directly to the scalp.

Step 2

Massage gently but vigorously to clear the scalp and melt down all dirt and product build-up.

Step 3

Add some more product to your lengths and gently detangle using your fingers, a brush or a wide tooth comb.

Step 4

Rinse thoroughly. If your hair is particularly dry, follow with Curlsmith® Essential Moisture Conditioner!

New label, new ingredient. New allergen

"When you changed your labels, my scalp started itching when I washed. I started getting eczema flare ups on my back and neck- where I never had eczema before. My hair has thinned out and become very damaged looking, despite my air dry routine along with never dying or processing it. I just compared ingredients from the old label, I found a new ingredient: tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes. This is for fragrance and is known to care skin sensitivity and is an allergen. Please remove it from your products. I love your products but they are now ruining my hair."

I am sensitive to smells, especially florals. What are the perfume notes of this? How strong is it? Does it linger in the hair?
This has a fruity scent, if you do find sensitivity to fragrance, check out our Shine Line which is completely fragrance free!
I can’t get the pump to work on your 32 ounce bottle of the curl quenching conditioner wash. Any suggestions? It will not open when I spin the top like most pumps.
If you look at the top of it, there is a little arrow that show in which direction you have to turn it. Hold the silver part of the cap tight, pull the pump upwards and unscrew following the arrow direction. After a couple of turns you will feel a pop and the pump will push right up!
Is this a good shampoo to use every wash because I want to know if it’s a good daily shampoo to cleanse everything or if it’s too heavy because I’m in between getting this or the frizz control.

My most recent purchase of curl quenching conditioning wash was very disappointing. Almost watery. I have been using this product for over 4 yrs. Decided to buy the large size..$56 for hair cleanser is a lot for my budget. Did you change formula? Not at all what I have come to expect for this product. Not sure I will purchase again.
The formula has not changed. If you still have an old jar, you can compare the ingredients - they are all the same.
Hi, Is this supposed to make your scalp itchy or trigger your psoriasis? I was so excited to try this now all I have to worry about is my scalp. It really does smell good and makes my hair more curly tho.
