Heads up! We’re giving our packaging a fresh new look. While we transition, your order might show up looking a little different than the pictures—but don’t worry, it’s still the same great product inside!
Rub the product between your hands and apply on soaking wet hair.
Use the “raking/praying hands method” to evenly spread the product throughout your strands.
Select your desired styling method (scrunch/fingercurls/shingle) to enhance and define.
Air dry or diffuse. Avoid touching your hair excessively while drying as this will create frizz. Once completely dry, scrunch to 'break the light cast' using an oil or serum to make your hair soft and bouncy.
Your journey to embrace and empower your natural hair texture.

"I’ve been misting my hair and adding a dime size of this to refresh, and it’s my new favorite!! I have thick course hair and this has been the perfect addition to my routine"
"I have tried numerous products for more than 2 decades, and I have never found a product that does what this does. It holds the curl and allows you to define the look of your style, while most importantly, it eliminates frizz! I cannot do without this. It is a MUST-HAVE in my hair care routine. I have even cut down on the necessity to wash my hair as often because of its ability to hold the curl and eliminate the frizz, which means less damage to my hair!"
"I have both thick and course hair. This product feels heavy on it, which isn’t something I typically experience. I might start the day with okay curls, but they pretty quickly flatten out and leave me with lifeless hair most of the day."
"I’ve been looking for a curl cream that works for my 2b dry hair for ages. I finally found it! This is light, has decent hold without being heavy or sticky, does not weigh my hair down, and lasts well until my next washing. My hair does not get frizzy, and it’s waves and curls look a lot better than ever!I wish the bottle was a little more flexible because it’s hard to squeeze the stuff out, but that’s a pretty minor complaint considering the product itself is fantastic!"
"I love this product! It offers great curl definition without weighing down fine curls. Great hold without a crunchy feel. Doesn't dry out my hair or leave product buildup."
"This product maintains my hair silky, bouncy and frizz free in tropical humid weather and any other weather when I travel. All I need to do is adjust how much is required according to weather. Cannot live without it."
"This is great on my curls and it smellls so good. It smells like the Awestruck cream and works as well."
"This used to be my favorite gel, but whenever Curlsmith underwent the packaging redesign something changed with this formula. It is now an entirely different consistency, color, texture, and hold, and I’m so disappointed because I wasn’t even given a warning that this would be changing so I could stock up on it."
"Does nothing for my hair. Makes my hair look dirty and lackluster."
"I have been a fan of the Frizz Rescue Curl Retainer for quite a while and have found this product to work best on my hair. It keeps my hair from frizzing, holds the curls in place, and it great to use, wiht a little water, as a next day curl refresher."
